I bought this during the summer despite the terrible reviews. I bought it for my Ryzen 2700x build and I couldn't be more happy with it. Wondering if I should buy 4 of these for a home built NAS....
The minimum of 4 drives would be fine for a RAID-Z2 configuration, but yeah, the more drives the merrier. I usually refer to this calculator for reference:

Get more than 4. RAID5 is "dead" and has been for years given modern drive capacities, and gives a false sense of security.
