It is not available in most areas because the network more than likely has not been completely built out yet for the service in your area. Cell phone service and data service require two different spectrums. T-Mobile just wants to make sure they get it right or close to it the first time. Lots of areas have the service and are under testing. It will be launched on a larger scale very soon. Just do a Google search and you will get your answers or just do like I did and call the 800 number on the site that is provided.
"50 dol per month isn't really a great deal, Verizon , Spectrum, RCN are about 45 dollars per months with tax and fees."
What are you talking about? Why are you mentioning wired service when a lot of people don't have access to it? This TMobile service is intended to be fixed home cellular internet for those that don't have a better option (like me, no dsl or cable available, but no TMobile service either). What current equal option does Verizon wireless have (other than the discontinued prepaid jetpack plan I have)? Spectrum mobile? They require you have their home internet service already, so you wouldn't need fixed home cellular internet if you already have access to their wired. Rcn looks like a wired provider too. Not comparable service. Doesn't matter if something is a better value if it isn't available.

"Is this better than the $45/month Xfinity prepaid?"
Does that require access to a wired connection? Yes? Completely different service.
Thank you!
