When using 4 cameras does it record each one in 1080p or does it split it by 4?

I would avoid cameras with bnc cables like this one. The cameras are supposed to be a higher resolution but the bnc is limited to 480p. They are supposed to use hdcvi to go over this, but you are much better off getting cat5 wired, or wireless. Yes, they are more costly systems, but the cost of the system is small compared to the time and effort you will spend stringing cables. If you value your home, invest in a better system.
