It's a good deal. I put one of these into a new Ryzen5 build back in October.... Works beautifully in concert with a 1TB SSD I use as the boot/OS drive.
This is the historical lowest price since it was listed on in September 2018, according to the Camel site. It's been listed at this price a few times throughout 2019.
As mentioned in the description, these are great for the PS4. For laptops, the ideal use case would be if you're able to use both an m.2 NVMe and have a spare 2.5" bay to use this drive for extra storage. Otherwise, if money is a major issue and you need a large capacity drive with relatively good performance, then this is also good.
For power users who primarily use desktop systems, this particular drive is meh. What I'd really like to see is the 3.5" version on sale since the 2.5" has a 5400 rpm drive while the 3.5" spins at 7200 rpm.
#3 I couldn't agree more. I use one of these in my PC for Steam games and have no complaints. Will certainly by another for the PS4 but the 3.5" at a good sale price would be first choice.

Maybe still a good deal (not my area of expertise), but that's not what it is.

You don't. SSHD is exactly how to describe this hybrid drive. People need to read more carefully.
Thank you!
