I keep thinking there should be a class action lawsuit against HDD manufacturers for making internal drives more expensive than the same drives as externals. They'd probably counter with something like blah blah longer warranty.
Dave - I’ve been remarking on this as well. I bought an 8TB external, cracked it open, and found that it wouldn’t work in my Mac. I then dropped it into a bay in a My Cloud, and its working fine. Warranty, or just something with supply/demand, there’s something wrong here.
