My experience with this has been mixed. I connect with both an Android and iPhone, and I've had to contact support 2x. Lots of dropped connections on both phones, so it took a couple of tries over multiple days to copy about 20gbs of photos and videos. Support's first recommendation was to reset the device and change the wifi channel... That improved things a bit, but then I started getting a corrupted sd card message, and the recommendation was to copy the files to my computer and reformat the thumb drive (haven't done that yet).

I think it's a really cool idea, basically a small wifi NAS (through the Sandisk app and wifi connection), but execution has been a frustrating experience. It seems to work fine as a USB 2.0 thumb drive. I got mine for $38, and if it worked better, I would consider another. YMMV.

This seems like a pretty good gamble (though I definitely appreciate the nice review posted above)... Would be great for long plane rides where you don't know what you want to watch.

I just bought one, here's why I want it:

I don't have a good data plan or access to good WiFi at work. I can stream video with the stick instead of dumping them to my phone or tablet every time. It seems to cut out a bit of transfer time, although, I will still have to transfer initially to the USB drive. The only reason why I'm so confident is because it's a sandisk. I've had trouble with Lexar devices, so it's a sure thing that USB functionality will be perfect, although slow at 2.0. As long as I can get a WiFi connection from 5 feet away and it's stable, I don't think it'll have problems.

Transfer of files (movies) will be real slow due to the USB 2.0, you can take a chance and like the post above, price is back up to $50, not worth it.
