My concern with buying a refurb SSD of any type is that all SSD's have a finite amount of read/write cycles so who knows how many cycles a refurb one has already burned through before you bought it.
^ While that is true, cloud storage services don't usually use M.2 SSDs and the typical consumer wouldn't be anywhere near burning through half the write cycles these have, within their release date until now.
Even so, you could check it for running hours and health with a utility then return to BB if that looks unsatisfactory. I think Samsung's Magician app should work on these.
