A measly 1.5a battery, ha! its not brushless, itty bitty charger...

yes indeed, I'll take three.

Has fair but not class leading 133 ft-lbs torque, though I didn't need a lot since I have their impact wrench too.

1.5Ah battery is enough for most tasks where a 1/4" bit is appropriate (as long as you don't need hours of use), though if you already have a Ryobi set you can get the bare tool as a like-new factory refurb from Direct Tools Outlet for $20 + S/H... every now and then they have a promo with free shipping, otherwise it's $7/order, IIRC.

I'd just as soon have a small impact driver be brushed, is easier to module speed, though of course now the contractor brands have much smaller brushless models that cost 3X+ as much.

It's slightly higher at 150 ft. lbs. Great as a gift, like those Kobalt hammers, 4 for 15.
it sounds better when you say, 1800 in./lbs. ..
I want to mod the charger with a buck-boost converter. USB to 12v car sockets, or 5v-24v input.

Not that it matters, but does Direct Tools ship their refurb products in plain boxes?
I believe I've ordered from them before, but I'm not certain. Thanks for the heads up. There's a store not too far away from me.
