wasn't hard to do. Wrote the recipes from the video on a 1 sheet of paper for reference. Within a couple weeks I could solve without the cheat sheet. It gets to be fun. It's like a thinking man's fidget spinner.
BTW, don't buy the cheap Rubik's cube. Get a speed cube like this one from Gan: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0754CNJM8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_***le?ie=UTF8&psc=1
More expensive but much less friction for moves. Way nicer and worth the cost. The "real" Rubik's cubes that cost around $10 seem like they'll give you carpel tunnel in comparison.
Just take it apart and put it together with all the same colors on their sides together.

In the 80s, someone did that with the one I had. They put it back together wrong and made it unsolvable. Which was kind of fun because I could say “bet you can’t solve this” and they couldn’t.
I tried this thing two three decades ago and realized I am incapable of operating such a sophisticated device so I quit. Those who solved this problem on their own are geniuses!!
