I just read some of the detail about this thing because I knew those tubes can't produce 25 watts. It's really a tube preamp with a transistor amp section. It's a joke really that people are buying it.

I bought something similar to this, but for much less. Yes, the tubes are part of the pre-amp loop and the amplification is using one of the new low-distortion class-AB. Mine cost only $60 and it works well playing music off a thumbdrive or BT. This price seems a bit high to me.
