540 joules protection, that's medium. Excellent reviews, but as is the norm with surge protectors, nobody had s protection story.

oooppps...sorry, I inadvertently clicked on the "report spam" my bad..

Anywho, in most cases you will never know if a surge protector has suppressed a spike. I would imagine it only has one MOV and a capacitor for noise. (RF, etc.)

Sorry @Flubber. Surge protectors are sacrificial, so after one massive or several small surges, the protector is dead. The question is how it died.
