I'm fine with my Ryobi for what I need it for, but these subcompact Ridgids would be much handier for trades where you're often working in tight spaces, or for weight savings in repetitive over-head work.
As far as Ryobi vs Ridgid go, generally speaking they're a different class tool. They are both made by TTI along with Milwaukee. The way they plan it Ryobi (consumer)
