Snub-nose looks "cute" but I prefer the Ryobi w/4Ah bat-tree & charger for 99 bucks. 1/2" 300ft/lbs

https://bensbargains.com/bargain/ryobi-one-18v-cordless-3-speed-1-2-impact-wrench-kit-w-battery-charger-765314/?

that being said, this one looks menacing..

1,500 ft./lbs. breakaway torque, 1,100 ft./lbs. fastening torque

^ Yes the one you linked is the current value leader in the high torque category, but unfortunately their planned replacement model has less torque so get it while you can.

I'm fine with my Ryobi for what I need it for, but these subcompact Ridgids would be much handier for trades where you're often working in tight spaces, or for weight savings in repetitive over-head work.

Shows $169 for me.

As far as Ryobi vs Ridgid go, generally speaking they're a different class tool. They are both made by TTI along with Milwaukee. The way they plan it Ryobi (consumer)

You get the tools cheap and then they get you with the batteries. Also if you buy rigid make sure you register for the warranty!!!

You can get Rigid 18v "copy" batteries on
Amazon
for a reasonable price. I have Rigid 18v tools that are 20 years old and still cranking....but of course I had to replace the batteries.
