I have owned this, I used it mostly for emulation and the adroid TV.
Probably the best choice for Android TV if you want the added benefits of playing games too. I just find myself preferring the Xbox Series X ;-)

If you are using it for streaming like plex, save 130 and get a roku on sale. I have both and I'd say for streaming the Roku is less glitchy. If you want to play a hand full of games and you don't have an old PC, or switch, a xbox 2 or atari or playstation or WII, or cell phone, than the shield is good choice. I think considering it is like 5 year old tech it should be only sold as used for about $40 - just my opinion.

I gladly bought one several years ago but then got the Roku and can't recommend the shield anymore. It would be like buying an old TI financial calculator - great in its time but now long in the tooth and not really moving forward.
