^ lol, there was once a time, when I was one of the problematic posters. It became apparent that the site was imploding, deal relevant comments were lost among the troll fest attacks and it just had to end. Time flies... that was March 2010.

My goodness. I could never imagine YOU as a problematic poster. As I remember it, you've always been insightful and informative. I can't tell you how much I've learned from your comments on rechargeable batteries, HDDs and SSDs, inexpensive LCD flashlights, and numerous other technologies. Maybe you posted under a few other names? 🙄

Couple of things that have been removed that I'd like back:
1) There was a section where we could post deals for others
2) Thumbs up/Down that AgentK already spoke to
3) Ability to leave messages for others. I found it easier to get into detailed conversations about some of the items without clogging the regular comments.

+1 on 3 great suggestions. Please let me add:

4) The ability to view other folks' post history (on their profile page).

1. It would make it easier to read comments if they could be nested. So, for example, matthew below responded to a comment that barryk made, but the post was so far down and the quoted portion of the comment isn't even obvious. I'm sure you guys use reddit too, nesting makes it so much easier to read and follow which makes exchanges and content much more gooder.
2. Another thing that I comment on during the black friday craze is that (for
Amazon
posts at least) the camelizer app has much better (and cleaner) price history. The graphical display and comparison to non-
Amazon
sources makes a person much more informed on the proposed "deal".
3. The other thing that's missing from the about us page is an explanation to the question that I posted in another deal listing, which was related to "Awesome Science Experiments for Kids: 100+ Fun STEM / STEAM Projects and Why They Work for $8.99"... I asked: AgentK - honestly curious... what flags these as deals? This book has been listed at $8.99 since Dec 2, 2019. Thanks
Again that info is clearly available to anyone who uses the camelizer app but what at this point flagged that as a deal?

@kumer1866 all excellent points/suggestions. RE: your comments about better price history charts and the "when is a deal a deal?"... I hope I don't end up touching the third rail here but it's always been my uninformed assumption that the sales we see here are a mixture of very aggressive deal-finding plus some amount of seller/manufacturer sponsored items. Or maybe there are just some really slow weeks and BB needs some deal-fillers? Not sure, and I'm sure you can cook up your conspiracy theories, but I imagine if we shadowed the deal team for a day or two we'd realize it's not trivial to keep a rolling list of deals moving every few minutes!
