Kidding aside, do you have a source for this info, fellow users experiencing the same thing? I had not come across any reports of bad battery life, motorola usually makes decent phones. I mean sure, it's a budget phone so the battery capacity isn't as good as a flagship phone but that also makes a lighter and thinner phone.
I have a similar Moto and after a year it still holds +90% of it's charge.
If possible, for best performance, charge to ~80% max..and try not to discharge below ~15%. And tell yourself.."it's fifty bucks"
I bought the phone with the $20, new customer discount, $30 TL, then bought another 1000 texts for $5. I keep it in my car as an emergency phone if I forget my regular phone at home. It stayed at 100% for a week while it rested in my console. Great security for 8 cents a day. At the end of the year, my daughter will use the new customer discount and buy me another year for $30. Yes, I'll get another new phone number, but it doesn't matter as it's just for emergencies and on the Verizon towers.

You don't have to get a new phone #, can simply transfer your existing TF account to a new phone, so the same phone # goes with it, also any remaining service days and buckets (voice, data, and texts) from your old phone will add onto those that come with the new phone, as long as you transfer before your service days run out, or maybe there's a 30 day grace period for that, I don't recall which it is.
When the time comes, there are lots of people who can help you through the process, especially the members of Turk Forums or Howard Forums, where there are already existing topic threads detailing how to do it.
One other detail I'm not as certain about but may be possible, is if you don't want to set up a new phone at all, you may be able to do the above, get your account transferred to the new phone, then take the SIM out of the new phone and swap it into your (then) old one. There's probably topics about that at Turk or Howard Forums too.
