I can't say enough good things about Harmony remotes. I've used nothing else for the last 10 years.
Yeah but as some has stated they did away with the number pad and that's what I use to change the channels on my Directv. I've had an 880 model harmony remote for years and LOVE it. But also I have a wife and see doesn't understand all the remotes so I like these push one button and all the stuff that needs to be turned on, does just that. It's truly a great remote if you multiple devices connected to one TV.

I have a bunch of Harmony remotes. This one is probably my least favorite. i have an 880 too. It's a great remote The only reason to get this particular remote is if you have more than 8 devices. The problem with this one is the lack of number buttons and the play/pause/ff/rwd buttons are at the wrong end of the remote. You have to move your hand up and down the remote to perform those functions which requires you to look at the remote when you use them and using those keys does not feel very ergonomic. Their placement feels almost like an afterthought.
If you have less than 8 devices like most of people the 650 is the best way to go. It is very affordable and has the most intuitive button layout. The layout is exactly like the Harmony 700 but lots of people including me have recharging issues with the rechargeable batteries Luckily you can ditch the rechargeables in the 700.
I have a harmony one which I love. It seems weird to not have number buttons, but now that I think about it, I rarely use the number buttons at all. Does it at least put a number pad on the touchscreen?
