I have an older Lenovo tablet, and I have had the same issues with it that many Lenovo tablet owners have had.
It shipped with Android 6, and Lenovo refused to update it past that.
It has serious issues updating apps. The Playstore app would sometimes hang on launch, and when it did launch it would take DAYS to update a dozen or so apps (when it would do that at all - many times it would get to 98% and fail). Basically, I had to coddle it and do one app at a time if I wanted updates, sometimes over and over. Time consuming and frustrating.
When it worked, it worked OK, but Lenovo was completely useless in solving any of its problems. They never appeared on their own support web site to even acknowledge there were issues or answer questions.
Last time I went to update apps, it told me my Android version was too old and it wasn't going to update any of the installed apps.
I would not consider getting a Lenovo tablet again. Just not a company that understands what business they are in, and wouldn't help me with any issues that came up. Not one.
If I could find an AOSP or Lineage-based build for this, I'd jump on it in a hurry. But loaded up with bloatware and questionable choices about deep Google Assistant integration, nah.

I have the same issue with Samsung's tablet. No update available. I ended up with 3rd party android update, which of course is buggy.
