Dammit. Timing is everything. i just got the same one with 8GB RAM refurbed from the Lenovo store for $850. It arrived in 'brand new' condition with refurbished packaging and same-as-new warranty. If the bestbuy refurbs are in equal shape then this is a great deal. This convertible makes for a great laptop, first and foremost, but a pretty heavy and large tablet. Don't get it if what you want is more tablet than laptop. I needed this because it can go to 8GB RAM and has a second MSATA slot. You can stick a crucial M4 in there for an ADDITIONAL 256GB of fast SSD storage. The RAM can also be DIY upgraded to 8GB with $60 purchase of 8GB RAM stick from Crucial. There are youtube vids showing the DIY upgrade process. The build quality is excellent and the touch screen is very responsive. So far, I am pretty happy with it.

BTW, if you are seeking something that is more portable and tablet-like, with an 11 inch screen, then the samsung ativ 700t or Microsoft Surface pro might be better. I think the Sammy can take a SSD upgrade but RAM is fixed at 4GB, which was too low for my needs. I think the surface cannot be upgraded at all. Still, if the specs meet your needs, these two are a lot more portable and might be a lot more suitable as true tablet-and-laptop replacements.

I think touch screens should be mandatory with Win8 as it makes a lot more sense. I bet by this time next year, all new windows laptops will have touch screens. I would not be surprised if Apple follows suit with touch screens and an "IOS on top of OSX" offering some time soon. Although, this time they will follow instead of leading.

Thanks for the details, much appreciated as I've been following this for a bit and your comments too. I'm somewhat curious about the 11" Yoga too that is advertised. However, the 11" screen take a backseat to this one. I already have two 11" screen machines and while usable, a bit larger screen would be great.

We grabbed 2 of the 11" models when first released. Truly believe 11" is the sweet spot for typical use. As noted above, the weight of the 13" could, for some, be an issue.

I've had the opportunity to spend some time with the 13". It's a great machine....no doubt. The additional weight for me's the deal breaker.

The only 11 inch Yoga currently available is a "Windows RT" machine. This is the embedded successor to Windows CE, Pocket Windows and Windows Phone. I would much rather have an IOS or Android based tablet than something running this OS. That model is the "Yoga 11".

The "Yoga 11S" is a forthcoming Lenovo model (Due June '13?) that will supposedly have similar specs to the Yoga 13 in a smaller form factor. I am not sure of the upgradeability of that model. When and if it becomes available, it might be an even more attractive offering for those who are more motivated to replace a tablet with a full blown windows 8 offering. I might have gone for it if it was available and could somehow be had with 8GB RAM and at least 256GB SSD. I need to run virtual machines as part of my work so the extra RAM and storage is pretty much mandatory.

BTW, I mostly post worthless comments, and lame attempts at being funny, but it's nice to know that some of what I post is at least useful to someone. Regards.
