I also own this laptop. Bought it new 2 months ago.
Same specs except it ALSO has: * 1TB HDD in addition to the 512 GB SSD. * 4K LCD (3860x2160.... seems to use the builtin Intel chipset for this resolution rather than the NVIDIA 940MX)
The video driver frequently crashes and restarts.
Sometimes it seems quick, other times it's just slow. Hard to compare, but I reckon it's sometimes slower than my 6 year old MacBook Pro with i7. Just not as fast as I'd expect a 7th Gen i7 @ 2.70 Ghz to be.
Takes over a minute to start up from hibernation (hibernation file is on the SSD).
ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS touchpad that ignores half my finger movements, while at the same time, ghost clicking when my finger is half an inch from the touchpad. It's already had TWO touchpad driver updates in the 60 days I've owned it and it still isn't fixed.
If it weren't so annoying, this would be a great deal for the specs. If I can fight the urge to toss it across the room in frustration, I'll probably return it to Costco before 90 days and try something else.
