"John "Papa John" Schnatter is leaving as CEO of Papa John's Pizza due to his political views. Is this a way to earn back some fans?"
I don't know why your comment is getting so many thumbs down. This is EXACTLY what is happening here. Papa Johns' PR department is in full repair mode. You can expect to see many more of these "deals" in 2018.
Lol you guys don't realize he donated to trumps campaign. It doesn't matter if he leaves or not he still will own the company and receive money from it.

Aside from politics their pizza is absolutely terrible. I don't know how and or why they are so popular as evidenced by their number of locations. I feel bad for the people who eat this substandard pizza because there are so many mediocre pies out there that are vastly better. I prefer pretty much anything out of the frozen pizza section of my local grocer over Papa Johns.
@musaffa -- it's because those that agree with the CEO are pretty rabid about their beliefs. There are thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people visiting this site, so a couple of thumbs downs are expected with this model of understanding such people.

Wait, so you're suggesting that if I don't like PJ's then I don't have to get a free pizza from them? What if they just show up at my door and won't go away?
