In case you don't know or understand what it is, it's a keyboard where the keys are designed to replicate as faithfully as possible the feel of a real piano, and equipped with piano sound banks. By contrast, a synthesizer is geared towards sound authoring, and synthesizer keyboards, even when they have weighted keys, are not designed to mimic the feel of a real piano but instead offer flexible control over sound parameters.
