The sound on these speakers is great. Unbeatable at this price, in fact. I just wish they had a power button. I have to either unplug them or cover the bright light on the front on the set in my bedroom.
I have had two of these style of speakers from Klipsch. The connection to the audio jack got goofed up after a while and would crackle intensely in random patterns on my first set so I tried to replace it. However, the replacement had a loose audio jack so I returned it. I did try several audio cables and other troubleshooting methods for a couple hours; I consider myself somewhat generally tech-savvy. I eventually bought an entirely different brand ("Logitech - Z623 2.1" speakers) and have had no issues, with the audio out performing the Klipsch speakers I previously owned. I'd be careful of the "Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX" set, even though they are a supposedly reputable brand, to my knowledge. That said, for $90, the investment is low and may be worth the risk.
