Yes and no... From a person who knows a little about wrist watches.
Its true that Invictas for the most part are overpriced by their deceptive MSRP but most outlets mark them down to realistic prices and I have found that there isn't a reason unless you are super bougie to buy anything that costs more. Case in point, their model 8926OB is an $85 EXACT copy of a $9000 Rolex Submariner. They have different movements but the automatic movement (self winding) in the Invicta keeps perfect time over months time as long as you wear it at least every other day or put it in a watch winder. And.... unless you are right up on it most people assume it's a Rolex. I have other discount brands of watches that have had the arms fall off of the movement has stopped working or the band has broken. Every Invicta I have owned has held up well (for years) and keeps accurate time
I know a little about wrist watches as well. You can look at them and see what time it is. I also know that if it doesn't have a calculator, it's not worth the price, no matter the brand.
I've owned two Invicta "fashion" watches in my life. I like the brand itself and like that there are a gazillion different models for different looks and different uses.
I paid probably $30-50 each for my two Invicta watches a few years ago. One just stopped working out of the blue a couple of years ago. I had the battery replaced and that didn't start it running again so it apparently just died. Oh, well. The other Invicta watch is still humming right along on its second battery and is a nice watch for casual wear.
