I own this drive (and the 240GB version), and for basic usage these drives are OK...but they can't be compared with the 860 EVOs.

After looking through forums & reviews, I'm confident the difference is that this drive does NOT have DRAM (DRAM-less).

For $10-$15 more (for 500GB), the 860 EVO has DRAM and a 5yr warranty.
