HP sometimes makes decent products, but be aware that on a high end laptop I bought with a three year warranty, the thing only had 2.5 years warranty left the day I got it, according to the HP site. A two thousand dollar laptop.
When I contacted HP to ask what the deal was, a snarky woman told me the warranty starts when they finish building it, not when I bought it.

Not sure that's even legal, but buyer beware.

Dell does the exact same thing. And it's worse if you buy a floor model at a discount that's been discontinued... feel lucky if there's any warranty left at all.
Don't let them BS you out of your warranty time, as long as you purchased from an authorized reseller you get the full warranty from your date of purchase. HUCA if they BS you. https://www8.hp.com/us/en/privacy/limited_warranty.html
quite an excellent price for this machine but they could have used a 512GB SSD and charged another $20. Or perhaps offered an option for 512B/1TB SSDs.
Game load times will get considerably better next year when Microsoft and Nvidia start supporting Direct-Storage. I don't know if that will be supported on the GTX1650 (likely not but who knows?!) but higher end GPUs from the Turing family will likely support it.
