And what do you do with the oil after you drain it?

7.5 quarts? My wife's Audi has a 7 quart capacity. This would be way too small.

Too small. What are you going to when it's full? Poring it out is going to be messy.

ALL places that sell bulk oil are required to accept waste oil. AZ, Advance, Pep Boys, WM, etc. Just put the old oil in any jug and take it to 'em; If they tell U no, they are lying.
And, $Tree has 10 qt. square dish pans.

At most of those places that take oil they, or you, dump it into their storage container and you take home the containers you brought it in. For that reason I'd recommend a drain pan that has a lid so you can take it to them without bothering to transfer it to another container(s), although I find the empty jugs from the replacement oil to be a timely option to put it in.

My dad uses a 5-gallon gas-can, since it has a leakproof lid. He painted "USED OIL" on the side so it's obviously not gas anymore. In Michigan at least, 5 gallons is the most you can bring in at once, so we just do a few oil changes, dumping the smaller catch-pan into the gas can, until it's full, then take it back next time we go to buy new oil.

The municipal garage takes it where I live. Just leave them by the storage tank. They take antifreeze and brake fluid too.
