I stopped using these as their white dust clogged my HVAC filters. Now I am using 4 evaporizers in the house and problem's solved. White fine dust can travel across my large 20 x 30 room to land on my receiver and TV. What if it clogs our lungs, too?? Using filtered water does not guarantee total elimination of it. Besides, when factoring in the costs, evap filters cost become more economical than filtered water.
