Probably best used to keep children out, many adults would just bash it with a hammer, or a rock, or a brick or skillet, or a shoe, or pop the hinge with a screwdriver, or saw it open, or prybar it off, or pour gasoline on and light it, or a torch, or use an electric carving knife, or drill through the lock latch, or put a hole saw in the drill to drop a firecracker in, or throw lawn jarts at it, or just pick the lock, set the thermostat where you want it, then superglue it shut.
