Many comments asking how come is this low. You guys still don't understand how communist China operated? The state-owned factories work along with companies to make products. Hisense is actually a State-owned Enterprise. Many of the state-owned factories use prisoners, such as the uyghur, Fa Lungong, or Christian to make products without any costs. Remember the time before US Civil war, how the South was so rich because the land owners used the slave to harvest. They just needed to feed them food and provide raw materials. The UN Human Right groups have been trying exposed the wrong doing, but the UN, along with WTO have been corrupted.
^ Umm, most TVs are made in China, though in the case of Hisense I suspect they are trying to gain market traction with their low prices, then will be nearer price parity once they accomplish that.
IMO the biggest issue is the Android TV OS, which on some models can lock up even if you're using an alternate HDMI input instead of any Android TV features.
On mine, if some Android TV settings are changed, I can even turn it off, after having used an HDMI input, and when I come back to turn it on, it either won't turn on or turns on to a locked up Android TV video preview screen, until it's power cycled (unplugged at the wall). Hisense support was no help, just stated this may happen every few days and to factory reset it.
After a factory reset, I left all Android TV settings on defaults except turned off video previews (which I wasn't using anyway) and now it consistently turns on again w/o power cycling. I'd rather have a dumb TV with a separate Android dongle on an HDMI input.
ROKU must be charging TV manufacturers a ridiculous price to add ROKU to their TVs. Looks like they are all cost cutting by including Android TV. This sucks.
I tried to purchase yesterday but was out of stock near me. Hisense tv's in general are usually pretty good and have solid reviews, wish i could of got one.

Just messing with you. If they weren't gone I was going to try my luck and buy one. Hopefully you guys that were able to get one enjoy it.
there are two kinds of companies in china -- private & state owned.
and that state owned companies use slaves for their labor pool.
he is saying highsense is state owned, therefore implying if you buy these tvs you are supporting slavery...
