Go ahead and put this thing in the dishwasher why don't ya? You'll just love the piece of not so shiny artwork that comes out when the cycle is done. - NoNose
So Mr. Dumbfuq is shocked that the product is ruined when run in the dishwasher when it clearly says "hand wash only".
Also don't drink poison or light gasoline on fire.
It shouldn't be too hard to bring this back to a usable state if it was damaged in the dishwasher.
Many machine detergents will strip the anodization off but that's not really critical, a resultant dark scuzzy look can just be polished down with a fine steel wool pad, and if the rear cover pops off and the liquid escapes, fill it (3/4ths or so capacity) with something with a low freeze point like alcohol/water mix and seal the end cap back on with epoxy.
If the end cap is destroyed just find or fabricate something to replace it, even a rubber stopper although it may not be worth a lot of bother to salvage if a replacement only costs $3.49.
