Yes, properly balanced 30 cell battery packs aren't cheap. Charger is also sold separately or you can get all 3 pieces for $399 on a separate Lowes listing.
Hold off. I have numerous Greenworks tools, both 60 and 80V, that I picked up for next to nothing. I have seen that same lawnmower on , with 2 80V batteries, for that price. Not sure just how well those things work in So. Fla. so I passed. But I have had much better luck with Greenworks trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters than with Kobalt.
Unless you're mowing moss or golf course grass, you'll be much happier with a traditional gasoline-powered mower, especially in FL with st Augustine or bahaia grass
