I've tried a deal like this in the past, so here is the breakdown. Stadia/Luna whichever streaming game service you are trying is a nice idea, but the technology isn't there yet. You need a hardline connection from your modem/router to have a chance at playing without any lag/graphic degredation. For many people, if you have an internet connection, you already have a PC and/or a game system that will play these games better than the Stadia/Luna. So what you are really buying here is a Chromecast. That being said, this is a good price for a Chromecast and the controller is a fun experiment. But it can't be used with anything else, so it ends up just laying around. Just my two cents, do with it as you please.
For $22.22, I'll give it a try/give it as a gift. I do wish that they allowed you to at pick the color of the controller as there are 3 to choose from.
I'm going to go ahead and say I really like using Stadia. I think it gets an undeserved bad rap.
I've used it since last year and I think it works great. I think the controller is nice and not cheap feeling at all and I like that I can use it on any of my TV or any PC. It works great on my Nvidia shield and I've even used it on a cheap tablet and it's worked great.
During a Google search I found that many Stadia controller owners use it with Luna and a standard PC. There are several YouTube videos about this.
Just one question about the Chromecast Ultra.
Is this superior to the built in Chromecast that is included with Hisense TV's?
Just found this statement in the Tomsguide.com Chromecast Ultra review.
Editor's note: Google has since discontinued the Chromecast Ultra. Our original review appears as originally published below, but check out our Chromecast with Google TV review and Google Chromecast (3rd Generation) review to see the current options.
Bought the $22 before I saw the $30 deal and the bought the $30 deal. Guess I can give one as a gift. The controllers aren't half bad for using on a PC with Steam and what have you.
