    Eligible for Android 12, but software support ends in Oct 2021. You'll be going to a new major release but (potentially) not be eligible for subsequent fixes. I would stay on Android 11 until you see what happens in October. Hopefully, they will at least release bug fixes for a while longer.

    Make sure it is NOT a Verizon model. Verizon will not allow unlocking the boot loader. Woot pulled that in the past, selling 'unllocked' phones that could not be unlocked.

    I purchased one of these phones got it with the boot loader unlocked as described in the listing. At first it did not look like it was as the OEM Unlock was greyed out and showed Connect to Internet or Call Carrier message. I did connect to internet and then clickon it again and it unlocked as well. The phone I got EMEI number started with 99. Verizon phones start with 35

    EDIT: TBF the Woot listing says "fully unlocked" which is very, very misleading. But the safety net here is someone who knows about bootloaders and custom ROMs (and OMG Verizon) will be savvy enough to read the fine print re: what's locked.

    Unlocking the bootloader and an "unlocked" phone are two different things -- the first is ROMs and SU+root access (as you obviously know) and the second is whether the radios will work with another carrier.

    FWIW I've got a Pixel 2 that's bootloader locked (Verizon) and carrier unlocked. I can use the phone on AT&T if I want but I'll never be able to install a custom ROM.
