This won’t work on GCFI(sp?) sockets— the ones with the test and reset buttons— on account of the screw in the middle.

It's a good thing. They don't want you loading up electrical stuff in your bathroom, and the center screw is great, if you need to pull out quickly, the whole tap won't pull out as well.
Wait, that didn't sound right, but you get the picture.
