This one left me a little dissatisfied. It requires batteries and needs to be wound up to play. It doesn't read the notes from the records, just a 4 bit code instructing the player which pre-recorded song to play. The original ones had the music encoded on the discs and played it music box style.
But my kid didn't care about all that.
