Nothing teaches patience like a straight razor. At this price, this model is good if you want to just learn how to use one. It rusts if you don't remove the blade and dry it off after every use. If you decide that you like using a straight razor, you can get a good stainless steel one and keep this one as a backup. I only use mine occasionally, when I've let my beard grow out too much for a cartridge razor to handle. Word to the wise: using this anywhere other than your face is problematic.
