20 minutes is bare floor, without the powerhead. More like 6 min with carpet and power. Not bad for a small appt given the older tech battery life. They make some of the highest end batteries, so the extra cost will more than pay for itself.
I get about 20 minuets on carpet with the low setting. You can also buy cheap ($25) replacement batteries off of (not the overpriced Dyson branded) that perform as well as the originals and increase your run time to 40 minutes after a quick battery swap out.
