I remember years back on the LinusTechTips youtube channel that some company made something similar this but it ran on Thunderbolt, not some proprietary BS.
I wonder if that company got brought out by Alienware....
I have a gaming rig and I really don't get the point here... If you already paid premium for one of those "alienware" computers, I assume the performance is already OK to keep you happy, no? $230 seems like a sizeable chunk of money on top of the price of the platform you already own. Recent model GTX graphics cards (cf. 970) are getting into this range...

but you should probably do your research first, because it requires disassembling your laptop.

only if your living in the tiniest apartment possible or jumping place to place..
i won't get it.
How can you not fit a full size computer... if anything you can even build itx builds now..
