Micron (the parent company behind the Crucial brand name) makes top notch DRAM. I have their DRAM in my laptop, desktop, and Raspberry Pi 4. Always works better than any other DRAM I've had. Very reliable.
I have a Crucial MX500 2TB SSD (TLC), which has worked splendid, although it may produce a bit more heat than my Samsung 860 EVO SSDs.
But the Crucial X8 2TB USB SSD I have is really bad. Runs really hot when writing, and still runs plenty hot when just sitting idle. It uses so much power that it fails to work reliably on my USB hub, doesn't work very good on my HP pavillion laptop, etc. It works when directly connected to my Raspberry Pi 4, but that's about the only place it does work right. It's fast, but only for a little while. The QLC is supposed to have a big cache, but that doesn't matter when the device runs so hot all the time -- you'll be thermally throttled long before you even run into the cache limitation.
I don't have any personal experience with the Crucial X6, but if it's anything like my X8: just forgettabout it. Not worth it.
