Surprisingly good reviews. Some years ago Firm I worked for had to replace the Crucial SSDs due to high failure rate and slowness.

These are reliable but they won't make it to the end of its 5 year warranty. Much better than Intel 5xx series. I would stick with Samsung.

Was the rate and slowness with the MX500 series or the BX500 series?
The MX500 series are Crucial's higher performing drives with DRAM cache while the BX500 series are the slower drives that are DRAM-less.

One of mine just suddenly stopped working. The failure is so bad that it even takes down the SATA controller (another disk connected to the same controller won't respond if the failed drive is connected).
