Here's another "tell-tale" that the desktop memory is still overpriced. Here 16Gb of special lower demand laptop memory, that's all dressed with all the special bell and whistles, is $75.
That's why I say a 2-pack where "bulk" pricing applies, of what today should be basically entry spec DDR4-2666, and nothing special as to heat spreaders (standard affair) should be priced at $70. If you could find "bare" modules they should be like $60. 16Gb kits of desktop DDR4-3200 from major brand (non-RGB) right today should be $75-85, not >$100 as they are now.
