Different criteria. Those are meant to be as bright as they can for their low price and lifespan. For some uses they might be ideal, but I'm struggling to come up with one at the moment. ;)
This product is meant to achieve good runtime at modest light output for many years of use, and allow 2 x AAA cells to run an entire work day so you aren't swapping out the batteries so often that you're wearing out poorly machined threads on the $2 generic alternative.
Plus, generics tend to have a high rear clicky switch failure rate and it only gets worse when they have a small, AAA diameter limitation on the switch size.
