The amazing thing about this is that you almost immediately forgo the notion that this is a TV production being filmed somewhere else with special effects and actors. Skaargard is amazing as always.

Another reason to get HBOMax and maintain it. It's more expensive, but I can't point to one Netflix production that's as well done as this series.

I don't think I ever got to the point of suspending disbelief; there were a few too many hollywood-esque "focus on the gauge doing something dramatic" moments, which in reality would've been neither so quick nor so clear.

I can accept that; requiring the audience to be nuclear physicists wouldn't make for good storytelling. But it meant that watching things unfold, it was all just a bit too straightforward, a bit too dramatic.

Still, I think they struck a good balance. I'm an awful viewer and if they catered to me, a lot more people would've found it unwatchable. It was still breathtaking in its scope and remarkable in 99% of its accuracy, and told a story that very much needed to be told, at the right time for a generation of upcoming leaders who didn't live through it the first time around.

Might have to pick this up just to support them. Doing good work should be lucrative.

Agreed. If you haven't yet seen this series, I would highly recommend it. HBO is to be commended for making a true masterpiece.
