Not really digging how much more vertical space each posting takes now. Needing to scroll a lot more to view the items now. Please offer a compact listing format like you had originally.
I can;t want until we get up/down votes. I got a lot of haters who gave me a negative rating, but I'm sure I've gotten a lot more people to fall in love with me since.
Like any change, it'll take some getting used to, but right now I like the format changes. Might be cool to highlight the comments area with a different color if a comment is made. Wish the thumbs up thumbs down votes would come back, why were they take away?
Wish the thumbs up thumbs down votes would come back, why were they take away? @MWplus3 They weren't working correctly. We want them back, too, and they are coming back, hopefully soon.
1. In the previous version, if you are NOT logged on and you type a comment, you would be prompted to log on and then the comment would be posted. With this new version, if you are not logged on and you type a comment, you are prompted to log on and once you do, the typed comment is lost & not posted.
2. "Show Expired Deals" should be UNCHECKED by default in the Filter options. It has always been checked, but this is a prime opportunity to change this annoying feature.
3. The consensus is that we miss the thumbs up/down feature in the comments section. No one even understands why it was ever deleted. Bring. It. Back!
Thanks all for the great feedback! The thumbs up/down voting was ONLY taken away because it wasn't working properly--some votes would appear to save, and then they would disappear. For whatever reason, it's been a mystery for tech to replicate/fix. We're hoping this functionality is back (and working correctly) in the next phase of the upgrade!
I do like new format, it doesn't lag on my tablet like it used to, but wish I didn't have to constantly "load more deals." Kind of a pain, the other sites don't have that prompt, you just scroll through the list. Don't understand why Ben's is different in that regard? Thanks for the improvements though.
It's even worse on a cell phone when scrolling, endlessly, with your thumb. My ~6" phone only shows 2 deals at a time...AWFUL!
I'm not a geezer, nor a Luddite...I just know when an "improvement" isn't an improvement...what you have here is change, some positive, some negative, for a net loss on user functionality.
Being honest and scrolling through other comments, it looks like I'm not alone.
The fix: A desktop, or large monitor, version/option with the deals in a table that is at least 2 wide, possibly 3 or 4 deals per line.
Small screen/phone version with at least 4 deals per screen.
Dark mode so we're not blinded by all this white...really a lot of white in your pages.
If someone is logged in, a "you recent views" option would be really nice. Sometimes people look at a deal, don't buy it, then come later to look at it again and consider the purchase...total pain to find stuff. Take a look at , they have a "your recent views" feature...very nice. A simple "save for later" option would be nice.
Thank you all for your feedback! (Please keep it coming) A couple notes: @GreatWhite: We are definitely planning on doing some of the things you mentioned. In particular, we do already have a "recently viewed" section https://bensbargains.com/recently-viewed/
@photon1165 We'll be adding easy sharing on the mobile version of the deal pages in the next phase of the redesign :)

Trust me I would know!

Three things to consider, guys:
1. In the previous version, if you are NOT logged on and you type a comment, you would be prompted to log on and then the comment would be posted. Thank you very much for your efforts!

Hello,
Well, it looks nice, but you missed the bullseye.
The problem?
It's too big..so much wasted space for each deal. I'm using my 42" monitor right now, and I can only see 3 deals at a time; tons of scrolling!
Example:
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
Scroll,
See how ANNOYING that is?

I too, would like a Dark Mode, and less scrolling, but at least if there's a dark mode then all the empty space isn't so blindingly bright.
