I need to go back to BB to check out that Samsung sound bar and compare it to a Sony I heard last week (which is also on sale for $50 less now than before). Not sure that either will be adequate for gf's large and strangely shaped living room.

If the tv has audio out/earphone connection you can get a cheap BT transmitter and a BT speaker to sit next to her chair, or even BT headphones.

BT headphones have too much lag for tv watching...RF headphones are the only good wireless option for tv.
