    ^^ more apps will come regardless. If you need a new machine, and your workflow is supported, this is a no brainer.

    M1 with Rosetta 2 is great. Waiting for a good deal on the 16GB though, likely will need that memory for longevity.

    it's interesting that the (minimal) savings is only on the 8gb model. also, FYI, RAM is soldered to the board. no aftermarket upgrade possible.
