I have one, and it is solid. I have taken it to campouts, and it can run a CPAP for multiple nights without draining. Very cool stuff.

#1 any way to charge it on 12V DC (ie a car), or do you need 110?

Not worth it. This doesn't have that much capacity. It's basically a small car battery. Just buy a car battery and an invertor for half the price.
Math:
Car battery: 60AH * 12v = 720wh
Powerhouse: 120ah * 3.6v = 432wh
