It is very difficult to compare inexpensive brushes without trying them, when they are intended for painting. Chip brushes typically shed bristles substantially, and apply paint unevenly. HF brushes are fine for brushing away chips and dust, and high-quality brushes such as Purdy brand can be trusted and bought on the basis of price, but between these actual testing is needed. I have found some dollar-store brush sets which work adequately for touch-up painting, and others which do not at all.
