Only buy this if you enjoy changing batteries in the cameras every other month. 's Blink cameras claim to go up to 2 years between battery changes (or truly around 1 year). But, I would rather change the batteries yearly instead of every other month. They do make solar arrays that can go with these to extend the battery life, though.
I already have 4 of these up in various places around my property. Yes; the battery has to be changed every 2-3 months (depends on how much it is activated). However, so far, it has been excellent in picture, connection, and quality. I would like the battery to last longer, but I can live with the trade off, especially given it's reliability and ease of placement.
This is a great price on a horrible product. We are in the process of choosing a replacement for our Arlo. The battery life is miserable and the motion sensing requires wildly overstated movement to be triggered. Furthermore, the event triggering is broken. I had a ticket open with support that was escalated to tier 3 (after two hours on the phone with tiers 1 and 2). They closed the ticket without a resolve.
