Distilled water is good for a long long time. Even in ONE GALLON jugs and much cheaper. People with loads of money will buy anything even bags of dirt if you market it properly.

Those plastic jugs, 1 and 2.5 gallon start to deteriorate around 6-18 months. Cracks, leaks...

I'd get this for camping to rehydrate, dehydrated foods, if it were as inexpensive as bottled water I refill from a faucet.

Some reviewers stated theirs arrived leaking so probably not a good idea to order this along with anything else that can't stand to get wet.
